The Batman: Robert Pattinson Will Finish Filming Next Month
The Batman, the next DC film starring the Dark Knight, has been in production for some time now. The film had only just begun filming when it was delayed due to the start of the still ongoing Covid-19 Pandemic. Tragedy struck once more when after resuming production the star, Robert Pattinson, contracted Covid-19. This forced production to shut down for some time once again, delaying filming further.
The crew eventually went back to work and finally, The Batman is almost done filming. The Batman will finish filming next month and then enter post-production. They’ll spend the next little while putting in special effects and making the film all pretty. Then, and only then, will we be allowed to finally see the awesome-looking film.
Deadline reported that the film is set to end filming in mid-March. They announced this along with the fact that Suicide Squad was sticking to its current release plans. That is, the film will be releasing both theatrically and on HBO Max. This is all great news for Batman fans looking forward to the new film, of course.
“It’s not an origin tale, and you’re meeting him in the early days. What’s really important about this iteration is that you know a lot of the other stories are about how he had to master his fear and master himself in order to become Batman and that in that Batman state, he’s sort of in his best self, and I think for me, what was exciting was not doing that, not doing the origin, not doing what we’ve seen done so beautifully in other movies, but instead to meet him in the middle of this criminol experiment to see him in the becoming of Batman and to see him make mistakes as Batman, see him grow and fail and be heroic do all of the things that we associate with Batman but in a way that felt very human and very flawed.” Matt Reeves said last year.
