The Flash: Wally West Set to Make His Return Post-Crisis
‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ has provided cameos galore, but there’s one fan favorite who will be making his return post-crossover–Wally West is coming back. According to TVInsider, Keiynan Lonsdale is set to return to The Flash following his departure from the Arrowverse in 2018.
Wally made his debut during Season 2 of The Flash, donning a cowl and becoming Kid Flash during Season 3. Since then, he’s done a bit of soul searching. Lonsdale popped over to Legends of Tomorrow during the back half of Season 3. He then returned for a few episodes of The Flash. After that, Wally decided it was time to live his own life.
According to showrunner Eric Wallace, Wally will have changed since his departure.
“As always, it’s a real treat having our Flash family member Keiynan Lonsdale back to play the youthful speedster, but what’s different this time [is that] Wally has grown, along with his speedster abilities, too.”
Wally will help Team Flash fight a familiar threat. His appearance will more than likely be a breath of fresh air following the conclusion of ‘Crisis.’ Wallace promises a fresh take on Wally’s character, on that has him excited. But what is this familiar threat? Wallace teases that though it’s familiar, it will have a new face. Could this spell the return of Thawne following his disappearance in the Season 5 finale?
Lonsdale will make his return during episode 14 of The Flash.
‘Crisis on Infinite Earths’ concludes Tuesday, January 14, 2020.
