‘The Good Doctor’ Episode Preview – ‘Pain’

Fresh off of its second season renewal, The Good Doctor is back with an all-new episode. In fact, the next three consecutive weeks will be all-new episodes to close out a strong first season for the series.

In this Monday’s episode, the surgical team is faced with another difficult case – one with massively different outcomes depending upon the choices of the patient. If the patient chooses to have the surgery which the team is recommending, his life could be drastically changed forever.

Synopsis:

“When the team treats a patient who has to decide between a dangerous surgery that could change his life or remain the same, he asks Dr. Shaun Murphy what he would if he had that same choice.”

Pain was written by William L. Rotko and David Renaud, and directed by Allison Liddi Brown.

From Sony Pictures Television and ABC Studios, The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore as Dr. Shaun Murphy, Antonia Thomas as Dr. Claire Browne, Nicholas Gonzalez as Dr. Neil Melendez, Chuku Modu as Dr. Jared Kalu, Beau Garrett as Jessica Preston, Hill Harper as Dr. Marcus Andrews, Richard Schiff as Dr. Aaron Glassman and Tamlyn Tomita as Allegra Aoki. The series is written by David Shore (House). Shore is also an executive producer along with Daniel Dae Kim (Lost, Hawaii Five-O), David Kim and Sebastian Lee.
