‘The House With A Clock In Its Walls’ Will Have Tons of ‘Supernatural’ Related Easter Eggs

The second trailer for Eli Roth’s The House with a Clock in Its Walls starring Jack Black and Cate Blanchett dropped on Thursday revealing an enticing look at what is sure to be a magical and mystical film. Fans of the hit CW show Supernatural are definitely going to want to see this film. As it turns out, there are some hidden gems planted throughout the movie just for them!

Supernatural creator Eric Kripke wrote the script for the upcoming film and he’s quite proud of it. Kripke took to twitter yesterday to announced the trailer drop and expressed just how much this film (and it’s source material novel by John Bellairs) means to him. As it turns out, this film is based on the book which actually inspired him to write Supernatural. Kripke tweeted, When I was 10, this book changed my life. It’s what inspired me to write #Supernatural. It’s got scares, heart, magic. So I was honored to write the movie, brilliantly directed by @eliroth, with this incredible cast. Labor of love & a dream come true.”

The book inspired Kripke so much that he decided to bring things full circle. Apparently, Supernatural fans are going to want to pay extra close attention while watching The House with a Clock in Its Walls. Kripke revealed in a follow-up tweet that he did, in fact, hide “tons” of Supernatural Easter Eggs throughout the film and, in the ongoing weeks, he will be revealing clues so fans can find them. He even refers to the film as an origin story for the Supernatural series. Kripke tweeted, “Oh, and #spn fans: as time goes on, I’ll start dropping clues to the TONS of #Supernatural easter eggs I wrote into the movie! If you’re a fan of the show, this movie is our origin story, required viewing! #spnfamily.

If the awesome trailer didn’t capture your interest in the film, surely the Supernatural hidden Easter eggs will!
