‘The Walking Dead’: Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s New Look Has Negan Fans Freaking Out

The upcoming ninth season of The Walking Dead will bring about numerous changes for the AMC hit television series. We already know about some of these changes, however, fans can rest assured that there will also be plenty of surprises in store as well.

The Walking Dead star Jeffrey Dean Morgan delivered a surprise to his shocked fans when he posted an innocent picture of himself and his son Gus over the weekend. The photo is absolutely adorable showing Morgan with a big, happy grin on his face while spending time with his sun on a beach.

What has the entire internet buzzing, however, if Morgan’s new and fresh buzz cuts! In the photo, shown below, Morgan is sporting some super short hair and a neatly trimmed beard. The look is drastically different than the grown-out hair and scraggly beard he previously had just a few days prior. Check out Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s new hair in his post below:

Already cooler than his dad.

Morgan’s new look has fans speculating and theorizing about Negan’s fate in the ninth season, however, fans can find some comfort in knowing that new hair doesn’t necessarily mean death! The Walking Dead‘s new showrunner Angela Kang has confirmed that the series will experience a time jump in the new season. Often times, a new time period leads to new beginnings and new hair!

Additionally, the new key art which was just released ahead of San Diego Comic-Con shows Rick Grimes (played by Andrew Lincoln) with a similar-looking neat and trim cut as well as Maggie (played by Lauren Cohan) with a considerably longer hairstyle (but still no baby). Maybe the group comes across a much-needed hairstylist in season 9?

We’ll have to wait and see on that, however, for right now we do know that Andrew Lincoln (who plays Rick Grimes) and Lauren Cohan (who plays Maggie Greene (Rhee)) will be leaving the series before the season’s end. Cohan was recently cast in ABC’s Whiskey Cavalier which was picked up to series during the recent 2018 television upfronts. Both Cohan and Lincoln are said to appear in just six episodes in the upcoming season.

The Walking Dead returns to AMC this fall.
