This Is How Fans of ‘The Office’ Reacted to Steve Carell’s Revival Prank
The Office is a television treasure. When you meet someone who shares the same love for those crazy paper salesmen and their ‘stitious’ leader that you do, a friendship is born and the constant quoting of it will never stop. For every emotion or situation in life there is 100% an applicable Office meme or gif available. And for nearly 9 years we got a front row seat to the unusual and quirky world of Dunder Mifflin up until its 188th and final episode in 2012. That was a sad sad day.
If you’re like me you’ve also just accepted the fact that the series finale was ultimately perfect and never even considered the need for a possible reunion or revival…until good ol’ Steve Carell planted a damn seed and trolled the crap out of us.
So, yesterday afternoon this happened:

But then a few minutes later…

And in an attempt to heal our broken hearts we were given one final tweet…

Just when you thought that Jim Haplert was the King of Pranks, Steve Carell comes out of nowhere with this trolling nonsense. As one can imagine Twitter erupted with all of the emotions as people dealt with the excitement of a potential Office revival and then the immediate loss of it.
NBC hear our cries and give us The Office Reunion we so desperately want!

I’m very fragile right now, Steven. Don’t tempt with my emotions.

Even Dale Earnhardt Jr. got in on it…

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
