‘Tokyo Ghoul’ Sequel Trailer
Anime has become a big part of my life. One of the very first series I watched was Tokyo Ghoul which I then read. Sui Ishida’s writing and illustrations are beyond amazing, I highly recommend reading it.
Now, live action adaptations haven’t had a great track record- both American and Japanese adaptations. Remember Netflix’s Death Note? or the live action Fullmetal Alchemist movie? Yeah, I didn’t think so.
However, I will say that the first live action Tokyo Ghoul movie was a pleasant surprise. While it wasn’t perfect, I think it was a fairly decent step in the right direction.
Back in September 2018, it was announced that a sequel was given the green light. Some time later, the sequel was named ‘Tokyo Ghoul S‘.
The sequel follows Ken Kaneki who has become an official member of Anteiku. After growing closer to the Ghouls around him, Kaneki becomes determined to protect his new home from the anti-ghoul forces. Kaneki’s abilities are pushed to the limit when an infamous gourmet, Shu Tsukiyama, takes an interest in the one-eye ghoul.
