Tom Hanks Wins The Golden Globes by Serving Martinis
If there was an award given out on Sunday night during the Golden Globes for “Nicest Guy in the World,” there’s no doubt that award would go to Tom Hanks.
Further proving his “Nicest Guy” status, Hanks was caught in a candid moment during a commercial break taking advantage of the evening’s open bar. This is Us creator Dan Fogelman snapped the below picture of Hanks carrying a serving tray filled with martinis and serving the drinks to his fellow actors. In Fogelman’s photo, you can see director Steven Spielberg who seems to be one of the lucky recipients of at least one of those cocktails.
Fogelman tweeted, “Best thing I’ve seen here. Tom Hanks delivering a tray of martinis to his table. The best.”

Fogelman wasn’t the only one who noticed Hanks’ keen waiter skills in action. MTV’s Josh Horowitz also documented the event by tweeting, “I just witnessed Tom Hanks go to the bar to order and carry back 4 martinis on a wobbly tray by himself. It’s office. He’s perfect.”

Hanks was present for his Golden Globe nomination for “Best Actor in a Drama Motion Picture” for The Post. Unfortunately, he lost his category to Gary Oldman (Darkest Hour), however, Hanks won the love of his fans on the internet for his selfless drink serving skills! We love you, Tom Hanks!
