‘TWD’ Alum David Morrissey Joins Amazon’s ‘Good Omens’
It’s the cast that keeps on giving! Amazon’s Good Omens has added another familiar face to their already star-studded roster – The Walking Dead’s David Morrissey!
The series, which is based on Neil Gaiman’s and Terry Pratchett’s novel of the same name, “takes place in 2018 when the Apocalypse is near and Final Judgment is set to descend upon humanity.” Morrissey joins Michael Sheen, David Tennant, Nick Offerman, Jon Hamm, Mirelle Enos, Yusuf Gatewood, and Adria Arjona on the cast. He will be playing Captain Vincent, captain of the pleasure cruiser Morbilli.
Director Douglas Mackinnon announced the casting on Twitter.

The six-part comedy from Amazon Studios follows an angel named Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and a demon named Crowley (David Tennant) who have lived quite pleasantly amongst the people of Earth and aren’t exactly thrilled about the impending apocalypse and the Final Judgement.
Gaiman and Pratchett will be writing the series, which was originally meant to come to life on screen in the 90s with Johnny Depp and Robin Williams attached before financing fell through. While an exact release date has not been announced yet, fans can expect to see this motley crew on screen sometime in 2019.
Morrissey is best known in the TV world for his role as The Walking Dead villain The Governor, which he played throughout seasons 3 thru 5. He later went on to appear in CBS’s Extant, Starz’s The Missing, and Amazon Prime’s Britannia.

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
