Warner Bros Announces Future Release Dates with Matrix 4 and The Flash

Warner Bros has announced the release dates for its movies 2020 and the years after with the biggest announcements being The Matrix 4 for May 21, 2021 and The Flash for July 1, 2022.

According to Deadline, “The Matrix, which returns to the big screen for the first time since 2003, now sits on date with the fourth chapter of Lionsgate’s John Wick franchise, which of course is toplined by the Matrix star Keanu Reeves, setting up a Keanu Kollision Kourse in summer cineplexes.”

That will certainly be interesting but it feels like Reeves will make the push for the film openings to get moved.

The DC Comics films set for release includes Birds of Prey (February 7, 2020), Wonder Woman 1984 (June 5, 2020), The Batman (June 5, 2021), The Suicide Squad (August 6, 2021) and Black Adam (December 22, 2021), now joining them are The Flash and then Aquaman 2 (December 16).

Warner Bros also said it is moving up its Mortal Kombat movie from its original March 2021 date to January 15, 2021.

There were three untitled events also given dates and we’re crossing our fingers that two of those are for the new DC Villain film and a Joker sequel.  We also feel like one of these could be the third film in the Fantastic Beasts trilogy.

What do you think of these new dates and what films are you hoping to see from Warner Bros? We’re hoping that a new Harry Potter film gets made that isn’t Fantastic Beasts.
