WATCH: The First Red Band Teaser for ‘Super Troopers 2’ is Here!

Three years after reaching their Indiegogo.com  fundraising goal, the first teaser for Super Troopers is here and you totally need to watch it right meow!

Seventeen years after the first film debuted and the trailer shows that not much has changed for the boys in the Vermont Highway Patrol.  The clip opens with a continued hazing of their rookie Rabbit who, despite not being a rookie any longer is still the brunt of their shenanigans.

The guys cuff him down to a table and threaten to shave his, well, you’ll have to watch to find out.  Check out the trailer below:

Within the trailer, we also see some awesome callbacks to the original film.  Of course, they couldn’t do a Super Troopers 2 without referencing the most quoted scene from the original film – the “Meow Game” scene.  Only this time, the driver (played by Jim Gaffigan) recognizes them and drops a “meow” or two of his own.

The whole gang is back for the sequel including Erik Stolhanske, Steve Lemme, Jay Chandrasekhar, Paul Soter and Kevin Heffernan.  The official synopsis for the film tells us that, once again, the Troopers will be battling to keep their territory but, this time against the Canadian Border Patrol.

“When the United States and Canada get into a dispute about the location of the actual border, the Super Troopers – Mac, Thorny, Foster, Rabbit and Farva – are called in to set up a new Highway Patrol station in the contested area.  Our heroes quickly revert to their own brand of unconventional police work.”

Oh, we can only imagine the craziness that will ensue in the sequel film!  Super Troopers 2 will be hitting theaters, appropriately, on April 20, 2018!
