Which Netflix Shows Are ‘Binge Raced’ And Are You a ‘Binge Racer’?
So, it’s the day a Netflix original premieres. While your friends are working through the season at a leisurely pace, you’ve raced past them all and managed to finish an 8 to 12 episode season in a matter of hours from its release. Does this sound like you?
If so, Netflix has found a label for your kind of viewing: Binge Racer.
Binge Racers always thrive on knowing they were the first to speed through and finish the season. According to the streamer, 8.4 million subscribers have Binge Raced at least one Netflix original series. And the trend continues to grow. Netflix reports that the number of viewers that have finished seasons on premiere days has increased 20 times between 2013 and 2016.
“There’s a unique satisfaction that comes from being the first to finish a story — whether it’s the final page of a book or the last, climactic moments of your favorite TV show,” said Brian Wright, Vice President, Original Series. “Netflix allows you to watch in a way you never could before, and there’s nothing better than seeing a show engage our members and ignite a passion for viewing.”
The streamer also compiled a list of originals that made the top 20 Binge Raced shows and which 20 countries Binge Race the most.
