Zac Efron is Serial Killer Ted Bundy in New BTS Photo
Zac Efron is trading in his Greatest Showman dancing shoes and circus tents for an orange jumpsuit and jail bars. It was announced in May of last year that the young actor, whose film roster as of late involved mainly raunchy comedies, had been cast as the notorious serial killer Ted Bundy in the upcoming film Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile.
Efron took to his social media pages on Wednesday to reveal a behind-the-scenes first look at him in character with the caption “Meet Ted.”

Thankfully, this Twitter user was able to zoom into the photo and compare it next to Bundy’s actual mugshot and we have to admit, that not only is the resemblance there but Efron is looking particularly menacing.

The film, which will be directed by Joe Berlinger and written by Michael Werwie, is told from the perspective of Bundy’s girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer (Lily Collins), who was with him for years, living in constant denial before she eventually turned him in. Collins shared her own photo on Instagram captioned “Camera Testing 1,2,3”.
In addition to Efron and Collins, Extremely Wicked will also star John Malkovich as Judge Edward Cowart, who “presided over Bundy’s highly televised murder trial in 1979 and sentenced him to death. Bundy was executed in 1989.”

Having studied Media & Writing at James Madison University, I always knew that I wanted to do some type of creative writing, but being able to write about zombies, Starks, and superheroes on a daily basis for Fan Fest is my actual dream. While I probably shouldn’t be as proud as I am to be so similar to Nick Miller, I do hope to one day write my own “Pepperwood Chronicles’.
