Zachary Levi Joins ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ Season 2
While The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel may have just gotten a third season order, it’s time to start focusing on season 2 and that means bringing in some fresh faces. Chuck alum and upcoming star of DC’s Shazam Zachary Levi has been cast for a recurring role in the sophomore season of the Amazon dramedy.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Levi will be playing an “eclectic Manhattan doctor who suddenly starts orbiting the Weissman/Maisel world.” Amazon is holding any additional details about his character and the season in general close to the vest though.
The series was written and created by Gilmore Girls’ Amy Sherman Palladino and stars Rachel Brosnahan as Miriam Maisel, a 1950’s housewife in the Upper West Side who decides to try her hand at stand-up comedy after her husband leaves her. Levi joins an amazingly talented supporting cast including Alex Borstein, Michael Zegen, Tony Shalhoub, and Marin Hinkle.
