Zachary Quinto Will Take the Souls of Children to Christmasland in AMC’s ‘NOS4A2’

Zachary Quinto is stepping into a somewhat familiar role in AMC’s NOS4A2.

We’ve seen him before as a crazy psychopathic villain on American Horror Story as Dr. Oliver Thredson. This time, he’ll be moving over to the kidnapping type of evil, AMC announced last week.

His character, Charlie Manx is an immortal being who feeds on childrens’ souls. His victims’ remains are then deposited in a happy little village where sadness is against the law. It’s called Christmasland, and every day is Christmas Day there. Vic McQueen, played by Ashleigh Cummings, constantly attempts (and succeed) in tricking him and saving the children while attempting to escape his grasp.

The role of Charlie is based on the 2013 horror novel, Hounds of Love by Joe Hill.

He wrote a second novel called Horns, which won a Bram Stoker Award. It became its own film in 2013 which starred Daniel Radcliffe, Max Minghella, and Juno Temple. Hill also co-created Netflix’s 2018 series, Locke & Key along with Gabriel Rodriquez.

AMC green lit a ten episode season of NOS4A2 in April, with show runner and executive priduver Jami O’Brien.
Production on the series has begun in the small beach state of Rhode Island. Kari Skogland is directing several episodes.

NOS4A2 also features Olafur Darri Olafsson, Virginia Kull, Jahkara Smith, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.
